Following an apprenticeship with a Jedi Master, Paratus surprised his mentors when he successfully passed his Trials of Knighthood through unusual means.
During his time at the Temple's academy, Paratus lacked the martial skills of his peers, and instead focused on building machines and tinkering with droids his lack of social skills troubled his instructors and peers. A Force-sensitive Aleena, Kazdan Paratus was taken to the Coruscant Jedi Temple for training in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order.
